A student protest made it clear that education had not changed in many years. We started researching the issue with experts and students. It turned out that we were almost thirty years behind. We must stop this trend! We must offer students a new alternative!
The mission
Our song and music video were inspired by the protests of the then Independent Student Parliament, now ADOM Student Movement. The speakers gave a really self-identified, authentic account of the problems of education today, eerily resembling the problems of 10 years ago. After talking to older people we knew this problem was not only 10 or 20 years old, but 30. We then approached education policy expert Péter Radó for more insight into the education problem and to offer a solution, if there is one. After our conversation with Peter, we came up with the basic formula of noÁr, whereby we ask our experts three questions: what is the main problem in the given issue and what are the solutions. We use this formula to examine our songs on different issues. This is where we first worked with composer Peter Kunert, and we immediately got a sense that this was the start of a wonderful collaboration. We recorded the chorus with students at the Vörösmarty Mihály Gymnasium. The concept of the music video is that we go through a school without editing. At that time, only one person was able to do this, Róbert Bánfi, a professional droner. It was a fantastic team of people who worked together to make this video. Since then, education has been one of the main drivers of our movement.
